Western Province claimed the inaugural CSA Professional Women’s Domestic League title at Newlands on Sunday.
Having already secured an insurmountable lead in the standings, WP emerged as undisputed champions, having convincingly defeated the Northerns Titans in both the One-Day Cup and T20 Challenge matches this weekend.
In the T20 Challenge on Sunday, Province built on their three-wicket victory from the previous day with an eight-wicket triumph, solidifying their T20 Championship title in impressive fashion.
Batting first, the Titans set a target of 118, concluding their innings at 117-8.
SA U19 and WP star Jemma Botha was the standout performer, claiming 3-19 with the ball and scoring 54 runs with the bat, to ensure her team’s undisputed status as T20 champions for the fourth consecutive time.
