Melie Kerr and Sophie Devine led New Zealand to an eight-wicket victory over the Proteas in the fourth women’s T20I in Benoni on Saturday.
Kerr scored 71* off 46 balls and captain Devine a 37-ball 61* in an unbeaten 135-run partnership as the visitors reached their target of 173 with seven balls remaining.
Earlier, the Proteas posted 172-4 thanks to 53 off 44 balls from opener and captain Laura Wolvaardt, Suné Luus’ 45 off 30 and Chloe Tryon’s 22* off 10.
The first three matches of the five-match series were rained out, with the final fixture taking place in Benoni on Sunday.
