Shai Hope hit a brilliant century as the West Indies comfortably beat Sri Lanka by eight wickets in the first of three ODIs at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium on Wednesday.
The visitors batted first and, despite half-centuries by Dimuth Karunaratne, Danushka Gunathilaka and Ashen Bandara, were bowled out for 232.
Hope then dismantled the Sri Lankan attack with a classy innings that set the hosts up for victory. He eventually departed for 110 off 133 deliveries before Darren Bravo and Jason Mohammed saw them home with 18 balls to spare.
