Hoërskool Waterkloof were crowned the Cricket South Africa T20 Challenge champions on Sunday after beating South African College High School (SACS) in the final.
Waterkloof batted first after winning the toss and put the SACS bowlers to the sword by posting a mammoth 186-6 in their 20 overs.
SW Kemp blasted 45 off 25 deliveries before Hardus Coetzer struck a brilliant 77 from 54 balls to help Waterkloof reach the big total.
It was always going to be a tough ask for SACS to chase that down but the men from Cape Town delivered a valiant effort by fighting their way to 171-9 in their 20 overs, handing Waterkloof a 15-run victory.
Richard Ackerman was the star with the ball as he took four wickets for 17 runs, while Coetzer bagged two for 26 runs.
