Sri Lanka spinner Wanindu Hasaranga picked up the wicket of Australia’s Glenn Maxwell while using an unusual round-arm bowling style.
Hasaranga’s right arm barely went above his shoulder as he attempted to get the ball to stay low and skid on.
Hasaranga dismissed Maxwell during the first T20I in Sydney on Friday shortly after former Australia spinner Shane Warne had said on commentary: “I’d be giving that ball away … Give it a rest champ, put it back in the locker.”
When hearing later that Hasaranga had not yet come up with a name for the delivery, Warne suggested one: “Maybe the undertaker, the round-arm undertaker.”
What should we call this round-arm delivery from Hasaranga? #AUSvSL pic.twitter.com/Blzdd2UzY5
