During the Proteas’ tour of England back in 2003, former fast bowler Makhaya Ntini became the very first South African cricketer to pick up a 10-wicket haul at Lord’s during the second Test match.
Under the new captaincy of Graeme Smith, the visitors made their intensions clear from the start by claiming a draw in the first clash in Birmingham, but the brilliance from Ntini would lead the Proteas to a big innings and 92-run victory at Lord’s.
