Fielder Ruturaj Gaikwad orchestrated a catch described as ‘outrageously brilliant’ by England fast bowler Stuart Broad, during a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy match in India earlier this year.
The catch happened in March, but footage only emerged recently. It also involved Gaikwad’s team-mate Divyang Himganekar, who capped the acrobatics to dismiss Railways tail-ender Manjeet Singh off the bowling of seamer Vishal Gite.
Maharashtra won the Super League Group A fixture in Indore by 21 runs.

Earlier this year, England midwicket fielder Ben Stokes snared a superb one-handed catch during the a key World Cup fixture against South Africa at The Oval in London.
Stokes was instrumental during England’s title-winning campaign at the 2019 World Cup in the United Kingdom. He has since been as important during the ongoing Ashes series, after striking a fourth-innings century to lead the hosts to triumph in third Test at Headingley in Leeds.
The right-armer is nursing a shoulder injury, though, and will play this week’s fifth and final Test against Australia as a specialist batsman. England have added left-arm seamer Sam Curran to the XI to bolster the bowling resources.
