    Proteas spinner Simon Harmer took a hat-trick with his first three balls for Essex in their T20 Blast match against Sussex on Thursday.

    Harmer finished with figures of 4-28 as Essex won by 25 runs.

    “It was nice to get off to a great start. I’ve been in that situation a few times in my career and never believed it would happen,” said Harmer.

    “Quite nice to have it happen. It was an important game for us.”
