Gihahn Cloete and Yaseen Vallie underpinned the Warriors’ push for domination over the Titans in their Sunfoil match in East London.
They were on 203-4 after 68 overs when bad light ended play for the day.
Cloete was cut down 17 runs short of a well-deserved century when he was undone by the spin of Shaun von Berg on 83, having hit 14 fours and a six off 137 balls. He and Vallie put on 156 for the third wicket, just as the Titans were getting their hopes up at 21-2, having dismissed Edward Moore (12) and Colin Ackermann (0).
Vallie continued the good work in the company of captain Jon-Jon Smuts after the early loss of Lesiba Ngoepe for three, the second victim for Junior Dala.
Vallie and Smuts were there at the end on 68 and 35 respectively, having put on 52 for the fifth wicket.
Both teams have registered one win in seven rounds of the Series, with the Warriors probably fancying their chances on the ground where they beat the Lions.
