The EP Warriors beat the Central Gauteng Lions by five wickets at St George’s Park to claim just their second win of the T20 Challenge.
Needing 143 runs for victory, the hosts reached their target in the 16th over, with Lesiba Ngoepe unbeaten on 38 off 24 balls.
The other big contribution with the bat came from opener Wihan Lubbe, who made 46 off 30 before being run out.
Earlier, the Lions posted 142-6 thanks mainly to Reeza Hendricks. The opener scored 61 off 41 but was crucially run out on the first ball off the 17th over.
The Lions were 116-6 with two overs remaining, before Juan Landsberg (21* off 14) and Dominic Hendricks (18* off six) added 26 runs for the seventh wicket.
The Warriors are sixth on the log with eight points from six matches, while the Lions are seventh with just four and out of semi-final contention.
