The EP Warriors ended their T20 Challenge campaign with a 10-run win over the North West Dragons in Potchefstroom on Sunday.
After opting to bat first, Wihan Lubbe (52 off 45 balls) and Diego Rosier (53* off 41) hit half-centuries and Matthew Breetzke 29 off 16 as the Warriors posted 166-4.
Hardus Coetzer took 2-21 in three overs, including the big wicket of Lubbe and Jordan Hermann for a first-ball duck.
The Dragons looked comfortable in their chase, but the Warriors held their nerve to successfully defend 20 runs in the last three overs.
Opener Wesley Marshall smashed 56 off 35 balls, and was well supported by skipper Heino Kuhn (44 off 37).
But the Warriors were clinical in those final overs with two brilliant run-outs from wicketkeeper Sinethemba Qeshile and crucial wickets by Kgaudise Molefe (1-29) and Glenton Stuurman (2-26) snatching victory.
The Northerns Titans and KZN Dolphins have already qualified for the semi-finals, with the Free State Knights, Boland Rocks and Central Gauteng Lions set to fight it out for the last two spots.
The Warriors, Western Province and Dragons are all out of contention.
