Australia’s David Warner exchanged a few words with a spectator after being dismissed by Kagiso Rabada on day two of the third Test at Newlands.
Warner was walking up the stairs and back to the dressing room when the fan was seen on video verbally abusing the big-hitting Aussie.
The batsman turned around to respond to the fan while a Newlands security guard watched. According to a report, an Australian security officer leapt over the fence and was seen in conversation with the spectator. It was later reported that fan was ejected from the ground.
After being sanctioned for nearly coming to blows with South Africa’s Quinton de Kock at Kingsmead in Durban, Warner now finds himself just one indiscretion away from a ban.
