Proteas batsman Rassie van der Dussen has been ruled out of Wednesday’s third and final ODI against Pakistan due to injury.
Van der Dussen, who has been in impressive form with the bat so far this series, suffered a grade-one left-quadriceps muscle strain, according to a Cricket South Africa statement.
The Proteas are already without Quinton de Kock, David Miller, Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje and Lungi Ngidi, who departed for the IPL after this past weekend’s Pink ODI.
Van der Dussen’s fitness will be assessed ahead of the T20I series, which gets under way in Johannesburg on Saturday.
