Pakistan have won the toss and elected to bat in the World Cup clash against South Africa at Lord’s.
Both teams come into this fixture desperate for any sort of victory. The Proteas are coming off a narrow loss to New Zealand, and have only claimed one World Cup scalp to date.
‘We have to get better in every department of the game,’ Faf du Plessis said at the toss. ‘We’ve kept the same team because we feel that gives us the best balance.
‘I actually would have bowled first, and I’m happy to chase,’ the Proteas captain added.
