Former Proteas have taken to Twitter in the wake of South Africa’s eight-wicket defeat to India to voice their displeasure.
Former Proteas middle-order batsman Ashwell Prince hinted, without mentioning his name, that captain AB de Villiers is allowed to pick and choose when he is available. He feels this decision should be made by CSA and not De Villiers himself.
Perhaps it’s time that @OfficialCSA dictates to players when they may have the honor of representing this country instead of other way round

Former Dolphins player Jon Kent meanwhile feels that De Villiers should be replaced by Test skipper Faf du Plessis.
Can’t happen , back home people are in agreement he can’t pick and choose and step in and be captain. Faf is the guy ..

In a subsequent tweet, Kent said some tough decisions await the national team.
Bitterly disappointing day, some clinical decisions need to be made for the benefit of the team going forward ..

Alviro Petersen also had his say.
Dear SA fans! One day i will tell you exactly what needs to happen in SA cricket… our media will now spin you a drafted story…

Let me rephrase my earlier tweet. Some media will now spin a drafted story to the public. Many good journos out there, but some puppets!!

Also, lets feel for the players as well, they are hurt beyond words. They are quality players and good people…

Eddie Leie
With this feeling in my heart. I might as well not write that exam on Tuesday. My month is already spoilt. Why Proteas?????????????????????????????????????
