Centuries by Jonny Bairstow and David Warner handed the Sunrisers Hyderabad a convincing 118-run win over the Royal Challengers Bangalore at Hyderabad.
Bairstow and Warner blazed a path of destruction through the Challengers bowling attack, smashing their way to a 185-run opening stand inside 17 overs.
Bairstow went to his 100 off 52 balls with 12 fours and five sixes before falling for 114 runs off 56 balls (12×4, 7×6, S/R 203.57).
Warner went to his century off 54 balls in the last over, having hit just five fours along with five sixes (S/R 181.81) as the Sunrisers ended on 231-2 off their 20 overs.
The Challengers innings got off to a disastrous start when they found themselves six wickets down with just 35 runs on the board inside the eighth over, AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli both dismissed for single figures.
Colin de Grandhomme (37 off 32 balls) and Prayas Ray Barman (19 off 24) added 51 runs for the seventh wicket, but the innings never recovered and the Challengers were bowled out for 113 with one ball to spare.
Mohammad Nabi 4-11 (econ 2.75) and Sandeep Sharma (3-19, econ 4.95) did the damage with the ball to guide their side to victory by 118 runs.
