Sandeep Lamichhane from Nepal enjoyed a brilliant debut for Delhi Daredevils against Royal Challengers Bangalore, but he couldn’t prevent his team from going down by five wickets.
The Delhi Daredevils witnessed a great debut batting performance from 17-year-old Abhishek Sharma, who scored a blistering 46 not out as they reached 181-4, but it was another 17-year-old T20 debutant who starred with the ball for Delhi Daredevils. Sandeep Lamichhane from Nepal had played just 21 List A limited-overs matches and has yet to take the field in a first-class match, but he had the courage to take the first ball against RCB with his leg break googlies.
Lamichhane bowled incredibly, picking up the wicket of the experienced Parthiv Patel and bowling 10 dot balls, before finishing his four overs with figures of 1-25 at an economy rate of 6.25. It was an amazing performance from such a young man, especially against the batting-heavy Royal Challengers… and he conceded just two fours and a single six.
