Three Proteas players have been ruled out of the women’s T20 competition at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
Experienced wicketkeeper Trisha Chetty (back) and right-arm seamer Tumi Sekhukhune (groin) are injured, while all-rounder Marizanne Kapp will remain at home in Gqeberha for family reasons that had her miss the recent T20I series against England.
They will be replaced by all-rounder Delmi Tucker and top-order batter Tazmin Brits, who are already with the squad.
Sune Luus’ team will begin their T20 campaign on Saturday with a match against New Zealand, before taking on England and Sri Lanka.
