• Titans take down Dragons

    Heinrich Klaasen scored an unbeaten 54 off 41 balls as the Northerns Titans defeated the North West Dragons by 33 runs at St George’s Park on Tuesday.

    After opener Quinton de Kock had made 34 off 17, Klaasen was well supported by Donavon Ferreira (37* off 35 balls) as the Titans posted 167-4.

    The Dragons slumped to 68-5 in the 12th over after Lesego Senokwane had top-scored with 31 off 32 balls.

    That they reached 134-7 was down to fighting knocks from Senuran Muthusamy (22), Nono Pongolo (22*) and Johannes Diseko (14*).

    Aaron Phangiso (2-13), Ayabulela Gqamane (2-22) and Dewald Brevis (2-33) all picked up a couple of wickets for the Titans.
