The Northerns Titans were crowned 4-Day Series champions on Monday.
The Titans completed a seven-wicket win over the Central Gauteng Lions in Centurion earlier in the day to move from third on the log to first.
Theunis de Bruyn’s 143 helped the hosts post 482 in their first innings and they needed just 62 in their second to win the match.
Rain then denied the EP Warriors a victory over the Free State Knights in Bloemfontein that would have had them snatch the title from the Titans.
The Knights were 82-8 in their second innings when the match ended in a draw. Mthiwekhaya Nabe took 4-26.
In other round-seven matches, the Boland Rocks and KZN Dolphins played to a high-scoring draw in Paarl, with Rocks captain Pieter Malan scoring an unbeaten 219.
In Cape Town, Western Province thrashed the North West Dragons by an innings and 132 runs.
Jonathan Bird (128) and Daniel Smith (153) both scored big hundreds for the hosts.
