Ross Taylor scored an unbeaten 181 as New Zealand beat England by five wickets in the fourth ODI in Dunedin on Wednesday to level the series 2-2.
Taylor, supported by 71 from Tom Latham, ensured New Zealand reached England’s imposing 336-run target with three balls to spare.
New Zealand’s run chase began in disastrous fashion after they lost openers Colin Munro and Martin Guptill with just two runs on the board.
Taylor, along with Latham and Kane Williamson, were able to steady the ship before Henry Nicholls won it with a six off Tom Curran with three balls remaining.
Earlier, Jonny Bairstow blazed his way to 138 off 106 balls and Joe Root grafted out a hard-fought 102 during England’s innings.
The result means the series will go to a decider in Christchurch on Saturday.
