Imran Tahir’s fitness is a concern ahead of the Champions Trophy opener against Sri Lanka on Saturday. 

The Proteas’ No 1 ODI bowler was replaced by Keshav Maharaj for the final ODI against England due to a slight strain in his left hamstring.

South Africa’s bowling attack was exposed in their series defeat against England and it would be a major blow for the Proteas if they were to lose their star spinner.
