EP Warriors coach Robin Peterson believes 21-year-old Tristan Stubbs should be part of the Proteas T20 set-up soon.
On Saturday, Stubbs smashed an unbeaten 80 off just 31 balls in the Warriors’ T20 Challenge match against the Dolphins after coming in at No 6, which included eight sixes and three fours.
He is the leading run-scorer in the tournament after three rounds, with 152 at an average of 76.00 and a strike rate of 220.28.
“He is the most dynamic young middle-order player in South Africa,” Peterson told Rapport newspaper. “No one is more dynamic than he is in terms of his skills, and that which he offers you. He does impossible things.
“He is an exceptional talent. I would try to involve him in the national T20 setup as soon as possible. He hits good bowling for six. ”
