All-rounder star Ben Stokes will miss the remainder of the 2021 IPL with a broken finger from Monday’s clash between the Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings.
The Royals started this year’s campaign on the back foot, losing by four wickets to the Kings with Stokes departing for a duck.

The Royals confirmed Stokes’ injury on Tuesday evening, saying he will, however, remain with the squad for the remainder of the competition.

The injury to Stokes could possibly open the door for South Africa’s David Miller to come into the starting team as one of the overseas players.
Miller featured only once last year for the Royals due to the quality of foreign players in the squad. England paceman Jofra Archer is also only expected to meet up with his Royals teammates for the second half of the IPL.
