Dale Steyn, Imran Tahir and JP Duminy are among the big names to sign up for the inaugural Euro T20 Slam to be played across Ireland, Scotland and the Netherlands.

‘I’m very excited about the Euro T20 Slam,’ Steyn, currently sidelined with a shoulder injury,  told the tournament’s Twitter account.

‘I can’t wait to get over there and get things going and I look forward to seeing you guys all out there.’

Shahid Afridi, Chris Lynn, Shane Watson, Babar Azam, Brendon McCullum, Eoin Morgan, Rashid Khan and Luke Ronchi are among the big-name internationals to join the three Proteas in the lineup.

The event begins on 30 August and will be made up of two franchises each from the three host countries.
