The Proteas won the toss and will bowl first in the fourth ODI at St George’s Park. KHALID MOHIDIN reports.
Having sealed the series with an unassailable 3-0 lead, the Proteas have selected a freshened-up squad for the last two ODIs against Sri Lanka.
Notably, the selectors have picked Aiden Markram and JP Duminy to add to what was a 13-man squad for the first three matches.
Both players were selected in the starting XI. Faf du Plessis also announced that both Anrich Nortje and Dale Steyn will play, while Kagiso Rabada was handed a much-needed rest. Imran Tahir was also handed a break to give Tabraiz Shamsi another run.
For Sri Lanka, Upul Tharanga replaced Niroshan Dickwella at the top of the order, while Dhananjay de Silva slipped back into the lineup. Priyamal Perera will debut at 23 years of age.
