JJ Smuts will captain South Africa at the Hong Kong Sixes from 1-3 November.
The KZN Dolphins all-rounder, who has six ODI and 13 T20I caps for the Proteas, is renowned for his aggressive batting.
Other players in the squad are Northern Cape Heat wicketkeeper-batsman Modiri Litheko, Central Gauteng Lions all-rounder Evan Jones, Free State Knights batting all-rounder Jacques Snyman, Northerns Titans fast bowler Matthew Boast, Limpopo Impala pace bowler Don Radebe and Free State Knights spinner Aubrey Swanepoel.
SA U19 and SA Emerging coach Malibongwe Maketa will coach the team.
The squad will arrive in Hong Kong on 30 October.
