Graeme Smith’s arbitration hearing is expected to be wrapped up next week.
According to Sport24, the bulk of the hearings took place this week, as scheduled, but the heads of argument will be filed next week.
The hearing was the result of the “tentative findings” of Social Justice and Nation-Building (SJN) chairperson Adv Dumisa Ntsebeza that the appointments of Smith as CSA director of cricket and Mark Boucher as Proteas head coach were procedurally “flawed”.
Smith’s full-time two-year contract with CSA expires at the end of March.
There is an option to extend for a year, but CSA’s majority independent board has said the position will be advertised.
Boucher’s disciplinary proceedings are set to take place from 16-20 May.
