Steve Smith will miss Australia’s limited-overs tour of South Africa in August and September.
The star batsman has not recovered from a wrist injury he sustained in the Ashes, but is set to be available for the ODI series in India and the ODI World Cup.
Smith has been replaced with Perth Scorchers captain Ashton Turner in Australia’s T20I squad, with Marnus Labuschagne coming back into the ODI squad.
