Pieter Malan and Jason Smith’s breathtaking 154-run partnership to steer WP to victory against KZN-Inland earns them Africa T20 Cup Pool A Play of the Day honours.
After a poor start to the tournament in losing to Namibia in the opening game, the WP duo put on the best batting display of the tournament. Smith smashed 79 off 43 balls, while Malan contributed 72 off 48, to inspire their side to a crushing nine-wicket victory over last-year’s finalists.
They’ve both emerged on top of the high-score charts in the early stages of the tournament so far.
