Tabraiz Shamsi’s first wicket in his third over is the Play of the Day as the Titans defended their T20 Challenge trophy on Friday.
The 12th over proved to be the critical point in the match. Malusi Siboto dropped Colin Ackermann on 21, as Shamsi hung his head after being smacked for a maximum the previous delivery.
After a single put him on strike, Christiaan Jonker failed to learn from the previously failed sweep by Ackermann, as he tried to take advantage of a vulnerable Shamsi when he pulled one in the air as Junior Dala swooped in to take a simple catch for Shamsi’s first wicket.
This wicket turned the game in the Titans’ favour, ending a 48-run third-wicket partnership between Ackermann and Jonker.
