No 4-ranked T20I bowler Tabraiz Shamsi was not selected for South Africa’s opening T20 World Cup Super 12 encounter with Zimbabwe.
The Proteas go into the game with Keshav Maharaj and part-timer Aiden Markram as their spin options, with the rest of the bowling lineup filled out with pace bowlers Wayne Parnell, Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje and Lungi Ngidi.
With Parnell scheduled to bat at seven, much will be expected from the top of the order as there is not a huge amount of batting depth in the lineup.

- Rilee Rossouw
- Aiden Markram
