• Saffas star as Dutch dominate Namibia

    South Africans Michael Levitt and Sybrand Engelbrecht blasted the Netherlands to a 59-run win against Namibia in the Nepal T20I Tri-Series on Thursday.

    Levitt, who attended SACS in Cape Town and represented Western Province U19, smashed 135 off 62 balls – the highest-ever T20I score by a Netherlands batsman – including 11 fours and 10 sixes.

    Joburg-born Engelbrecht, who played for South Africa U19 at the 2008 World Cup, made 75 off 40 balls (seven fours, six sixes) as the Netherlands posted a mammoth 247-5.

    Bellville-born Jan Frylinck – formerly of Boland and Griquas – scored 47 off 27 balls in Namibia’s reply, but they ultimately fell well short on 188-7.
