Colin Ackermann and Wiaan Mulder both hit unbeaten double- hundreds for Leicestershire against Sussex in the English County Championship on Thursday.
Ackermann’s 277* came off 375 balls and included 41 fours and a six, while Proteas all-rounder Mulder made 235* off 279 balls, with 32 fours and a six.
The two were involved in an unbroken fifth-wicket partnership of 477 before Leicestershire declared their innings closed on 756-4 – the club’s highest-ever total.
Ackermann was born in George and attended Grey High in Port Elizabeth, before going on to play international cricket for the Netherlands.

On Wednesday, Proteas spinner Simon Harmer claimed second-innings figures of 8-112 and match figures of 13-156 as Essex beat Gloucestershire by nine wickets.
It was the fifth time that Harmer had taken eight wickets in an innings for Essex since joining the county in 2017 and he also has two nine-wicket hauls in an innings.
His tally for the season is now 40 in seven matches.
