Skipper Dane Vilas played a key role to help maintain Lancashire’s unbeaten record and strengthen their hold at the top of the T20 Blast table.
Vilas scored 40* as Lancashire beat Yorkshire by four runs in Leeds on Wednesday.
SA-born England international Keaton Jennings got the team off to a strong start at the top of the order with a well-constructed 42 off 28 balls.
England’s former Paarl Boys’ High prodigy, Dawid Malan, was out for a first-ball duck opening for Yorkshire, but claimed two catches that included one to dismiss Jennings.
‘It’s something he’ll remember for the rest of his life.’
Captain Dane Vilas reflects on that winning moments.
