David Bedingham and Ricardo Vasconcelos’ centuries were the standout performances from South Africans playing in the latest round of England’s County Championship.

In Essex’s innings and 124-run victory over Lancashire, Dean Elgar‘s fine form continued for Essex as he scored 79 off 137 balls (10 fours).

Nottinghamshire’s draw with Somerset saw Joburg-born Matthew Montgomery score a first-innings 48 off 84 balls (seven fours) for Nottinghamshire, while Migael Pretorius claimed figures of 2-56 for Somerset.
Pretorius followed up with 77 off 70 balls (eight fours, two sixes), while Durban-born Calvin Harrison claimed figures of 4-93 during Somerset’s first innings.

In Durham’s 185-run victory over Worcester, Colin Ackermann scored 47 off 115 deliveries (seven fours) and David Bedingham notched 38 off 69 (six fours) during Durham’s first innings.
While Ackermann made just 18 during his side’s second innings, Bedingham continued on his merry way, scoring a blistering 138 off 99 balls (13 fours, eight sixes).

County Championship Division Two
Wayne Madsen scored an unbeaten 59 off 114 balls (eight fours) for Derbyshire in their draw with Leicestershire.
Leus du Plooy was in good nick for Middlesex in their six-wicket victory over Yorkshire, scoring 51 off 47 balls (nine fours) and 42 off 78 (five fours, one six).

Colin Ingram and Ricardo Vasconcelos were the standout South Africans in Glamorgan’s draw with Northamptonshire.
Ingram scored a first-innings 82 off 125 balls (nine fours, one six) for Glamorgan, while Vasconcelos – who attended St Stithians before representing SA U19 and Boland – scored 182 off 272 balls (25 fours).
