Simon Harmer was the standout player for Essex in their three-wicket loss to Hampshire. Harmer scored a first-innings 62 off 90 deliveries (seven fours, one six) and followed it up with figures of 6-149 in Hampshire’s first innings.

Kyle Abbott was among the wickets for Hampshire, claiming figures of 4-63 during Essex’s final innings, before Harmer added another three wickers for 102 runs to his match tally during Hampshire’s second innings.

The match between Lancashire and Nottinghamshire only got under way on the third day following inclement weather, with Lancashire captain Keaton Jennings scoring 42 off 63 balls (seven fours) during their first innings before the match finished in a draw.
Stephen Eskinazi scored 58 off 93 deliveries (seven fours) for Middlesex in their first innings against Nottinghamshire, whose Matthew Montgomery scored 52 off 56 balls (nine fours) during their first innings.

Montgomery then followed it up with an unbeaten 34 off 65 deliveries (two fours) to lead Nottinghamshire to a two-wicket victory.
In Lancashire’s draw with Kent, Jennings scored 74 off 152 balls (eight fours) during his side’s second innings.
