Kyle Abbott and Quinton de Kock have been the standout South Africans performers in the English County Championship and Caribbean Premier League, respectively.
County Championship
Abbot starred as Hampshire thrashed Northamptonshire by an innings and four runs.
The former Protea scored an unbeaten 57 off 45 balls (seven fours and two sixes) in Hampshire’s first innings and picked up 4-52 during Northamptonshire’s reply.
However, he went wicketless in Northamptonshire’s follow-on after sustaining a leg injury that ruled him out of the last day’s play.
SA-born England batsman Keaton Jennings scored 119 off 236 balls (15 fours and one six) in Lancashire’s first innings and followed it up with 68 off 92 in their second as they drew with Yorkshire.
Hashim Amla made 133 off 278 (eight fours) against Northamptonshire in Surrey’s first innings and an unbeaten eight in their second innings before the game finished in a draw.
This match also featured Northamptonshire’s Lizaad Williams and Portuguese-South African cricketer Ricardo Vasconcelos.
Williams picked up two wickets in Surrey’s first innings and scored 30 off 81 balls in Northamptonshire’s second, while Vasconcelos made 79 off 138.

Caribbean Premier League
After a slow start in the Caribbean for the South Africans, St Lucia Kings’ Faf du Plessis was the first to make a significant contribution during the sixth match of the competition.
The former Proteas captain scored an unbeaten 47 off 20 balls (two fours and four sixes) as they went down by 11 runs (D-L method) to the Barbados Royals.
De Kock and David Miller featured for Barbados, with De Kock scoring 24 off 25 balls and Miller 24 off 15 (two sixes).
Three days later, Miller smashed 60 off 36 balls (five fours and two sixes) and De Kock 44 off 34 (six fours) during their massive 80-run victory (D-L method) over the Trinbago Knight Riders.
Du Plessis made a duck when the St Lucia Kings took on the Jamaica Tallawahs, but teammate David Wiese played an important role in the closing stages of the game with an unbeaten 20 off 15 balls (two fours) to lead the Kings to a two-wicket victory with a delivery to spare. The all-rounder earlier picked up 2-31 with the ball.
Du Plessis managed just seven off 10 balls when coming up against the Royals for a second time, while Wiese was in the mood again, scoring 28 off 21 balls (four fours). However, the all-rounder’s cameo wouldn’t be enough as Corbin Bosch’s 81 off 50 balls (10 fours and a six) and Miller’s 29 off 18 (three sixes), propelled the Royals to a six-wicket victory.
Wiese went scoreless and wicketless as St Lucia went down by six wickets to the Guyana Amazon Warriors, but Du Plessis scored 31 off 20 balls (four sixes). The Warriors’ Heinrich Klaasen then scored an unbeaten 61 off 46 balls (two fours and three sixes) to lead them to victory.
In his next match, Du Plessis hit 60 off 35 (three fours and five sixes), while Wiese took 3-17 with the ball.
Both contributed to the Kings’ 49-run victory over the Patriots, with Du Plessis scoring 41 off 21 balls (five fours and two sixes), and Wiese an unbeaten 21 off 12, complemented by superb figures of 3-8.
Wiese would go on to score 33 off 14 balls (two fours and three sixes) in their one-run victory over the Trinbago Knight Riders.
Miller struck 34 off 27 balls (one four and two sixes) and De Kock 74 off 43 balls (seven fours and three sixes) as the Royals went down by six runs to the Tallawahs.
Cameos from Dwaine Pretorius (27 off 12 balls, three sixes) and Duan Jansen (23 off 15, two fours and one six) propelled the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots to a four-wicket victory over the Guyana Amazon Warriors with two deliveries to spare. Jansen also bagged two wickets.
The Warriors’ Tabraiz Shamsi took 4-36 in their 26-run loss against Trinbago.
