The Proteas women finished their three-match series against the West Indies women with a 35-run consolation win on Monday in East London.
Having already lost the series going into the final game, the South Africa women secured a consolation victory after successfully defending their total of 235 as the series finished 2-1.
Trisha Chetty (55) and Dane van Niekerk (55) both scored fifties while captain Mignon du Preez (43) and Marizanne Kapp (39) also chipped in with valuable runs as the home side posted 235-6 in their 50 overs.
Chetty and Du Preez shared a 72-run partnership for the second wicket which laid the foundation for a defendable total.
In reply, West Indies women reached 200-8 in their 50 overs With Masabata Klaas (2-33) and Suné Luus (2-30) taking two wickets each.
The visitors only managed one notable partnership in excess of 50 which was never going to be enough to reach their target.
Shaquana Quintyne and Merissa Aguilleira both top scored with 40 runs each but no one managed to convert their start into a match winning innings.
