South African all-rounder Graeme van Buuren has extended a three-year stay with Gloucestershire in English county cricket.
Van Buuren played 45 and seven first-class fixtures for Northerns and the Titans, respectively, before pursuing a career in the United Kingdom.
The 28-year-old arrived at Gloucestershire in 2016 and has been retained until the end of the 2020 season.
‘I’m very excited to be with the lads for another year; I have loved it here since joining the club in 2016,’ said Van Buuren.
‘My family and I have made lifelong friends and I can’t wait to keep that going. We are playing fantastic cricket at the moment, hopefully we can end the season with success.’
Gloucestershire head coach Richard Dawson added: ‘It’s great that Graeme has extended his contract with the club. He’s been an important member of the squad on and off the pitch for a number of years and we look forward to this continuing.
‘Graeme’s most memorable performance of the season arrived against local rivals Somerset at the Bristol County Ground in the One-Day Cup. His terrific man of the match knock of 61, which included six fours and one six, helped Gloucestershire beat Somerset by four wickets.’
