South Africa A will play their final warm-up match against Derbyshire on Monday ahead of their three-match ODI series against the England Lions.
Khaya Zondo and his side will be hoping for better weather this time around, after only 35.3 overs were possible against Yorkshire before rain ruined the remainder of the match.
The team may view this as a blessing in disguise after they were reeling at 42-4 early on. Jon-Jon Smuts (9), Reeza Hendricks (2) and Theunis de Bruyn (1) were all dismissed cheaply, while Proteas middle-order batsman Temba Bavuma could only muster 21 runs before losing his wicket.
Zondo and Jason Smith then set about to rescue the innings and had advanced the score to 129-4 when play was halted.
