An unbroken 81-run stand between Jacques Rudolph and David Miller set up a 25-run win for Glamorgan over Kent on Sunday.
After losing the toss and being asked to bat first by Kent, Rudolph played a captain’s knock at the top of the order. He and Aneurin Donald gave the hosts a lightning-fast start, racing to 88 in the ninth over. Despite the loss of Donald for 50, Rudolph guided his side into three figures.
Colin Ingram provided brief company for Rudolph before departing for 11. Miller joined his compatriot in the middle and together they put the Kent bowlers to the sword. The pair found the boundary with regularity to lead Glamorgan to 199-2, thanks to six fours and a six in Miller’s innings of 43 not out, and Rudolph’s eight fours and a single maximum in his innings of 77 off 52 balls.
The Glamorgan attack kept the hosts in check during their chase, restricting them to 174-4 in their allotted overs, as Glamorgan moved to the top of the South Group.

Somerset vs Sussex
Elsewhere, an unbeaten 42 from Stiaan van Zyl was not enough to prevent Sussex from slumping to a 32-run defeat to Somerset on the D/L-method as they remained rooted to the foot of the South Group standings.
Leicestershire vs Derbyshire
Proteas leg-spinner Imran Tahir didn’t let the Leicestershire batsmen take the game away from Derbyshire in their North Group clash. His figures of 2-20 were vital in throttling the hosts, who could only muster 104-9.
Derbyshire made light work of the chase thanks to Wayne Madsen’s unbeaten 49, which helped the visitors move into second on the North group, with 37 balls spare.
