Christiaan Jonker was on the winning side for the Rajshahi Kings when they beat Dhaka Dynamites by 20 runs, but Rilee Rossouw’s 58 was not enough to carry the Rangpur Riders over the line against the Sylhet Sixers.
The Kings – who were languishing in fifth place before the encounter – handed the in-form Dynamites their first loss of the season after winning the toss and electing to bat first, posting 136-6 in their allotted overs.
The star-studded Dynamites – who included the destructive West Indian trio of Sunil Narine, Andre Russell and Kieron Pollard in their ranks, alongside Bangladesh internationals Shakib Al Hasan and Rubel Hossain – crumbled in the second innings as they only managed a paltry 119-9 from their 20 overs.
