All-rounder Dwaine Pretorius might feature in the Paarl Rocks’ XI for Monday’s Mzansi Super League final against the Tshwane Spartans at Boland Park after returning from injury.
Pretorius has not played since 24 November 2019 due to a wrist injury. He will undergo a fitness test on Sunday.

‘Dwaine showed earlier in the tournament the value he adds with both the bat and ball. His recovery went well and I’m optimistic he will be available for Monday’s big game,’ said head coach Adrian Birrell.
The Rocks are the only MSL franchise to graduate to the play-offs in 2018 and 2019. They topped this year’s standings ahead of the second-placed Nelson Mandela Bay Giants, who were ruled out of contention for the title after defeat to the Tshwane Spartans in the qualifier earlier this week.
‘The achievement of Faf du Plessis and the coaching staff to create a high performing squad should not be underestimated,’ added Rocks chief executive officer James Fortuin.
‘Our team has performed exceptionally well over the last couple of years and it is our aim to sustain and build on this great platform in the years ahead.
‘Monday will be memorable for us in the Boland region and the game against the Spartans will be a fitting finale to some great cricket played in the MSL 2019 tournament.’
