The Boland Rocks beat the Western Province Blitz by five wickets in their T20 Challenge match in Potchefstroom on Tuesday.
After being put in to bat, Western Province slumped to 49-4 at the end of the powerplay.
Daniel Smith (25 off 24) and George Linde (39 off 38 balls) helped stabilise the innings, with Kyle Simmonds (28* off 17) and Beuran Hendricks (17* off 13) sharing a 32-run partnership as the Blitz ended on 155-7.
Ferisco Adams (2-20) and Imran Mack (2-26) were the Rocks’ most successful bowlers.
Janneman Malan set up an easy chase for the Rocks by hitting 60 from 43 balls and he was well supported by Clyde Fortuin (43 from 27).
While Tshepo Moreki and Abdullah Bayoumy each picked up two wickets for the Blitz, the Rocks reached the target with 23 balls to spare.
