The Division One 4-Day Series will begin on Thursday with six of the eight teams in action.
The Boland Rocks will take on the EP Warriors in Paarl, the Free State Knights host the North West Dragons in Bloemfontein, while Western Province travel to Centurion to take on the defending champion Northerns Titans.
All 4-Day Series matches will be streamed live on CSA’s YouTube Channel.
The Titans are on a high having been crowned T20 Challenge champions last Saturday.
“It has been a great start to the season for us,” said Titans captain Sibonelo Makhanya. “We pride ourselves on the standard of play we deliver in any format of the game, and hope to carry the momentum from our T20 campaign into the 4-Day Series.”
The Warriors missed out on the title last season when their final match against the Knights was wrecked by rain.
“We were unlucky as the rain robbed us of the 4-Day title in Bloemfontein,” said Warriors captain Rudi Second. “But we are keen to continue with the winning form that we had in that competition and bring some silverware home to the Eastern Cape.
“The expectation is always to win and that is what the squad will aim for this season.”
