AB de Villiers and Virat Kolhi delivered one of the greatest partnerships in IPL history during the Royal Challengers Bangalore’s clash with the Gujarat Lions in 2016.
Batting first, De Villiers joined his captain in the middle with RCB’s score on 19-1 but a clinical batting display, that featured some of the cleanest hitting you are ever likely to see in any cricket match, saw the two notch up a 229-run stand.
De Villiers finished the innings on 129 off 52 deliveries not out, while Kohli departed for 109 off 55.
Between the two of them they smacked a total of 20 sixes as well as 15 fours as RCB posted 248-3 in their 20 overs before the Lions were bowled out for only 104.
