The KZN Dolphins have welcomed back three experienced players for their 4-Day Domestic Series match against the Boland Rocks in Paarl starting on Thursday.
The Dolphins have had a mixed start to their campaign with a win and a draw, and head to Paarl third on the table.
“We had a number of players out for those first two matches and to see the way the younger guys stepped up is really encouraging,” said coach Imraan Khan. “They showed their worth and have shown that we have some strong depth here at the Dolphins.”
However, Khan is looking forward to having Andile Phehlukwayo, Prenelan Subrayen and Daryn Dupavillon back in the mix.
“Prenelan and Daryn are back from injury and it’s fantastic to have them back in the squad for the trip to Paarl.
“Andile has returned from the World Cup where he was awesome for the Proteas when he got a chance and we hope he can continue that positive form for us this week.
“Boland Park is never an easy place to go and win and the Rocks will be eager to get their first win of the competition, but we’ll make sure we go into the game as prepared as possible.”
Grant Roelofsen also returns to the Dolphins set-up while Slade van Staden retains his place in the squad following a strong showing with the bat against the Northerns Titans in the last outing.
