In seven IPL matches, ‘Baby AB’ scored 161 runs at an average of 23.00 and a strike rate of 142.47, with a highest score of 49. He hit 14 fours and 11 sixes.

However, that wasn’t enough to earn the 18-year-old a maiden Proteas T20I call-up for the series in India.
