SA A’s match against India A was abandoned in Mackay on Thursday due to heavy rain. Rain again affected proceedings in the Quadrangular ‘A’ Series, with play being abandoned after 35 overs due to rain at Harrup Park.
India A started the match as planned, scoring 140-4 before rain started falling. South African all-rounder Andile Phehlukwayo (2-23) did well removing Shreyas Iyer (4) and Manish Pandey (47) before the delay. On Wednesday, a wet and unsafe outfield caused the cancellation of the match between Australia A and the NPS.
Two points will be awarded to both SA A and India A with the remainder of the fixtures at Harrup Park proceeding as planned. South Africa A will play their next match against Australia A on Sunday.
